POWER OF 10, A COMPETITION (PHOTOCONTEST)
On the 16th of May, a new photos exposition “POWER OF 10”, will be inaugurated in ADPLOG, the exhibition space of Alessandro Del Piero in Torino. This event is a result of collaboration between a great photographer Steve McCurry and Alessandro Del Piero.
The extraordinary photographs of McCurry recall the ten values, that inspired the first exhibition of ADPLOG, based on Alessandro Del Piero's book “Giochiamo Ancora” ("Let's keep playing"): talent, passion, friendship, team spirit, style, loyalty, beauty, resistance, challenge and sacrifice are highlighted once again thanks to the great works of American photographer, the unpublished 11th chapter, dedicated to football, and the photographs that were never exhibited before.
During the exhibition, ADPLOG in collaboration with La Stampa, and using Instagram, will launch a photo competition “POWER OF 10”. This competition will be launched from the 16th of May till the 31st of July 2014, the theme is “Football through your lens".
Every participant will have to upload his or her pictures on Instagram with hashtags #CONTESTPOWEROF10 and #ADPLOG. All the images will be reproduced on two external video screens* of ADPLOG for all the period of the competition, and can be viewed by everyone. At the end of the competition, a special jury will select 20 pictures that represent the theme of the competition in the best possible way, and the winners of the best three pictures will be awarded. This is a great possibility to become a part of "POWER OF 10" project with Alessandro Del Piero and Steve McCurry!
