WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN PHOTOS
Another emotional day in Brazil, where I enjoy - for the first time in the role I've never had before - an extraordinary World Championship. So outstanding, that it's worth to be told in all possible ways, also through one of my passions, photography. Thursday, 3rd of July, I was glad to assist the presentation of the next exhibition that will be held in ADPLOG, my exhibition space in Torino, where these days you can visit "Power of 10", an extraordinary exposition of Steve McCurry's works.
Around mid-September we'll invite you to the opening of “Magnum Photos with Save the Dream”, an exhibition dedicated to the World Championship in Brazil and to the moments of humanity that lightened it up. The project was born thanks to the collaboration between Magnum Photos, worldwide famous photographic agency, and Save the Dream, the initiative, that spreads, protects and teaches the values and integrity of sport and that I personally support as its ambassador.
The World Championship in Brazil will be told through the pictures taken by four Magnum's photographers (Susan Meiselas, Jonas Bendiksen, David Alan Harvey, Alex Majoli) in collaboration with five young Brasilian photographers (Barbara Wagner, Pio Figueiroa, Breno Rotatori, Andre Vieira, Garapa & Midia Ninja) their idea and goal is to catch every instant, even the most unexpected, curious and outstanding, of this extraordinary event. Lights, colors, contrasts, goals, emotions: all the Championship through spectacular images.
Apart from that, at this exhibition you will see pictures taken by Magnum in Brazil for the project “Offside Brazil” (http://offsidebrazil.tumblr.com) carried out in collaboration with Rio De Janeiro Moreira Salles Institute, Magnum and Save the Dream's partner in activity in Brazil.
